Bart Fonteyne is an independent consultant in strategic foresight, public policy and international cooperation, with over three decades of advisory and leadership experience across Africa, the Middle East, Europe, Asia and Latin America. He designs scenario-planning and strategy processes for governments, universities and multilateral agencies, evaluates governance frameworks and development programmes, and develops funding strategies for major bilateral and multilateral donors. His assignments include work for the European Commission, GIZ, Enabel and the ICRC. Bart holds an MBA from Heriot-Watt University and a Master’s in European Studies from KU Leuven, and works in Dutch, English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.
