Kathleen Charles is a Senior Advisor specialising in SME development, agribusiness finance, and investment promotion, with field experience across Africa and Latin America. She advises governments, donors, development finance institutions, and business development services on strategies that expand market access and unlock finance for smallholder farmers, women entrepreneurs, and SMEs. A committed advocate for gender and financial inclusion, green finance, and impact investment, she regularly presents at forums convened by UN agencies, Regional Development Banks, and bilateral donors. Kathleen holds an M.A. in International Studies from the Graduate Institute in Geneva (HEID) and a B.A. in International Relations from the University of California, Davis, and speaks six languages including English, French, and Spanish.
